A closed jar, an empty plate! accessing third-party data

The biggest frustration is knowing what data you need but being unable to access it because it's owned by a third party. Useful data can remain inaccessible without the right help. Very often, the information you need is in the hands of other organisations, such as public bodies, universities, or other companies. The obstacle isn't the lack of data; it's the difficulty in obtaining it.

It's essential for organisations to identify not only the data they need but also who owns it. Instead of "reinventing the wheel," it's much more strategic to build strong, trusting relationships with potential "data holders."

Building a network of local relationships can be the key to starting a fruitful exchange that strengthens the entire cultural ecosystem.
